Sister plus two, missing two.

I miss my big family.
I used to think a little me time would be nice. Have my own room, my private little place, my peace and quiet.

But it did not sway that way for me, ever.
I have been living away from home since the 3rd year of college. I finally persuaded my parents to let me rent a room in boarding house near school to escape the tiring 2-hr commute from Antipolo to Makati. And thats just half of the way. Usually the trip back home at the end of the day is longer. It solely depends on the queue of passengers entering the MRT stations, being pushed over other "lady" passengers at the newly imposed lady carriage (yeah, it was back in 2004), and the blockbuster lines at the Fx terminals (there were only Tamaraw Fxs before, now they have Commuter Vans as well).

Since then, I have been on 3 different houses (I miss my housemates), 1 mansion (I miss my roomates), 1 condo unit (shared with my sisters) and now in my in-laws' house in a room shared with my husband. So there, I've always have someone to share things with. :)

But now that I have been married, I realise that I'm spending less and less time with my sisters. Work has been demanding (full of OTs and planned weekend works) and I have to spend my spare time attending to Doctors appointments (so as to take care of my health anf hopefully have little ones soon). I really miss them. I do.

To hit two birds with one stone, I asked Nyin and Jeng to accompany me on my next hospital visit. I promised to bring them to Bunny Baker as thank you for enduring the boring waiting times for each doctor.
The result of each checkup was postive. Aside from the one I missed since my Urologist was away on a conference out of the country.

Fast forward to bunny baker, here is the Uploaded picture by Bebejeng. I don't know how to grab a picture from instagram. All I can say is that it's the cutest cafe. Everything we ordered looked like art and tasted delicious.

Anyway, here are the snapshots taken from my phone.
Freshly cut and fried potato chips.

The chips couldn't fit in the shotglass mouth.

 The macarons with signature.

Playing with ketchup. As expected, the glasses toppled over after the shot. Hehe

Hungarian sausage with heart shaped eggs.

 The Skilletor! Careful, it's ho-hotttt!

The last bite of the macaron.

Not in picture were the promotional lemonades. You get a glass for following their social media account, uploading your experience and tagging them.

All in all it was a Yey experience. We will definitely come back to have a bite on the other food items.

After that, I accompanied Nyin as she practiced driving around UP Diliman while Jeng watched a play of her orgmate. Then drove up to RPA (Robinsons Place Antipolo) to meet-up with Father to watch Tomorrowland. Yes it was definitely a family day (and night) picking up Alwyn in Tropical Hut before heading up to the mountain. :)

Missing Ronchee and Dudes (and also Mother).

People Power, People Person

I've been thinking about it all day.

What topic should I highlight on my life today?

Before I went to sleep earlier today (at around 5am), I was browsing through my older blog.

Intrigued by my previous literary attempts, I was expecting it to be somewhat like an autobiographical time machine, my portal to certain days and events of my life. Instead, it came as a frustrating journey full of codes and psuedo names that the younger me has definitely enjoyed concocting. I honestly can't remember the actual names and places these codes represent.

So this time around, I've resolved myself to use actual names and places.

No more codes. No more puzzles.

I guess if you want to know my unfiltered, unadulterated, uncensored and complex thoughts on anything and everything, then you've come to the right place.

This is me. No holds barred.

Some say I'm brutally honest. Others say I am thoughtlessly tactless. I accept and grateful of these criticisms. Thank you for caring enough to let me know so I am aware and can improve. It all boils down to the intention of the one giving feedback. May it be positive or negative, the intention should be for the growth and improvement of the recipient.

It's not easy to give constructive criticisms. Sometimes it's better to lay it on the table. Sugar coating just makes it worse for everybody. You might end up misinterpreted to have a different message.

I was honored to have a moment with my teammate, Angelo. He is the kind of person that would beat himself up if he does not quite reach up to expectations (and I repeat, his own expectations). Mind you, he set his bar up really high. Of course there are certain things that are expected from him (but I am not his technical lead so I wouldn't have a fair basis). From my standpoint, I can see that he puts his best foot forward.

I am glad he trusts me enough to share his anxieties and hesitations in his career and life. He also trusts my opinion and accepts my feedback (hopefully with an open mind). He certainly has room to grow, expand his potential, and strengthen his skill set both technically and professionally.

Slowdown, Pause and Look Around

So we were walking around Eastwood, looking for the next spot to have dinner. We now have a list of YEY or NEY joints and I must say, the YEY list is getting shorter and shorter.
Anyway, I myself am guilty of passing by this one and just looking through it. It's as if this spot has ultra-invisibility powers that I have never considered it before. Ever.
Come on, you know which one I'm talking about...

Tokyo Bubble Milk Tea

We had a short squabbe wether to go in or not. As you can see, I won. *happy dance*

No, it's not just milk tea.
Yes, they serve other items too.

I was partly confused with the server gave us 3 sets of menu. See! They have a lot of food items to choose from.

Items range from appetizers, to entrees and desserts too.

Gyoza

Takoyaki

Oyakodon

Salmon pasta thingymajig

Everything tastes sooooo good. Its true. We will surely come back to have a chance at the other menu items.  This is definitely a YEY joint. Again, YEY!

I almost forgot. Mango slushie. I was ordering diet soda. But the server politely corrected me that the store's name is Bubble Milk Tea. They only have tea and fruit beverages to offer.

Oo nga naman. Duh.

The start of something

Do i decided to start another blog. It really helps to keep track of things going on in my life. I just had an itch to write and write and document my life.
I was browsing through my older blogs, I realize how much I miss it. So it will be just me and my thoughts With a few snapshots here and there. A little something to commemorate my life with. Its nice to browse back and relive each moment as if it was yesterday. Awwww...
